SuperfishPond Heater 150 Watt

I have now used the heater during recent cold spell, it has performed really well despite air temp being below freezing for nearly a week the pond did not freeze and water temp dropped only to 4c, fish love it too as they all settled near the heater. The plug has been cut off the end you need to get a plug and strip the wires to fit it. Be aware that the cable is shorter than 5m as the plug has just been cut off mine had 4.7 metres of cable which now fitted to plug is 4.65 so allow for this.

Brilliant my fish absolutely love this heater in the pond. They all gather around it at night all you can see is 8 fish tails floating under the rim. They are still swimming around the pond and not sitting on the bottom like they did before I put it in and they are still wanting a small amount of food even with the cold weather. They all look healthy and happy it does come with a three pin plug and so easy to to together and just pop in the pond. Fantastic buy.

Last minute purchase due to old pond heater expiring, I would only have 2 words of caution however. My old heater had an element of less than half an inch wide and 7 inches long. It also had a lead on it of around a mile long. This new unit had an element of around an inch wide and a good 8 inches to the float. Desperate to get the heater in the already frozen pond, and having gently removed some ice, it soon became apparent that the element was that long that it would hit the bottom of the pond. With no information as to whether it would damage the liner, hurried phone calls were made in order to ease my worries. Due to the shorter lead I didn't have the luxury of moving the heater to a deeper part of the pond. So thinking outside the box I took a polystyrene lid, made a template from a paint can and cut out a hole to size in the middle. Finally all sanded down with 240 grit sandpaper to get a lovely smooth finish with no bits. This has gained me another inch of height as the heating element sits higher out of the water. Something to consider if your pond is shallower than around 8 inches in places due to the restrictions of lead length.

I don’t get the bad reviews on this itemI read it comes without plug NOT TRUE, that it would kill the fish NOT TRUE at all I have a very small pond fountain with 2 goldfish I honestly never touched the metal bar but at a temperature of -5 the water kept flowing without a hint of ice I am very happy

Very happy with this pump, I've had no issues with it and what's more the fish love it too, in winter they like to congregate underneath it. Good value for money.

Not used yet but I am sure it will tick all the boxes & stop the pond freezing over in colder temperatures.

Unser Hochteich ist eigentlich nicht winterfest konzipiert und wir waren auf der Suche nach einer Lösung, damit unsere Goldfische über Winter im Teich bleiben konnten. Dank der Teichheizung war das auch bei minus 20 Grad kein Problem. Wir sind froh, unsere Goldfische putzmunter... alles bestens.

Bis jetzt kann ich nicht klagen. Habe den Teichheizer mit Timer angeschlossen und lasse ihn so nur über Nacht laufen. Anfangs genügten ein paar Stunden. Jetzt wo es richtig kalt ist, läuft er 12 Stunden. Der Teich friert nicht um den Heizer herum zu. Der Rest friert. Aber das ist ja auch genau das was passieren soll. Die Fische bekommen somit ihren Sauerstoff und ich hoffe, dass es ihnen nicht zu warm wird :)Bis jetzt, tolle Sache.

Alors quatre étoiles, car mes poissons on l'air d'apprécier cette nouvelle compagnie chaleureuse, j'étais contre, mais vu que les pensionnaires on fait des bébés à profusion durant les beaux jours, je me disait qu'il fallait pour au moins les préserver d'un hiver rude glaciale et éprouvant que l'on peut avoir en Picardie. Qu'il passe l'année 2018 et entame la nouvelle moins exténuée ,après je ne trouve pas trop :disons écologique de chauffer un bassin poissons (même si on paye chaque mois au fournisseur exclusivement solaire et éolienne ) mais il n'empêche que les animaux apprécie. Il ne s' en "fish"pas de ce bidule inventer par les singes nu . Par contre à quel température le tube chauffe ? Comment savoir si cela fonctienne bien ? Pas de voyant lumineux ? Le mystère avec ses questions auquel j'aimerais, peu être que Amazon me réponde ou bien le fournisseur s'il vous plaît.

Bien reçu et immédiatement installé. C'est facile si on a pensé à acheter en plus un adaptateur pour les prises françaises car la prise est anglaise et envoyé sans. Grâce à un commentaire lu ici j'avais fait attention et donc je m'étais équipé pour. Maintenant reste à voir si les deux carpes déjà en hibernation vont survivre à cet hiver grâce à cette cloche. Je reviendrai ici pour conclure.Bon l'hiver est passé et je reviens pour conclure. J'ai eu 5 cm de glace sur mon bassin et autour de la cloche avec un peu de sans glace sur ses bords. J'avoue avoir eu peur mais quel fut mon réel bonheur de retrouver mes deux carpes bien vivantes attendant leurs premiers granulés !!!! Merci !!!! Cette cloche a bien fait son job. Elle a retrouvé sa boite après un bon nettoyage et reviendra rejoindre le bassin l'hiver prochain.

février 2018.acheter cette article à la fin de l'automne 2017 pour l'hiver (je précise que j'habite dans l'est dans une région froide)J'en suis très content, petit bassin de 3 m2 avec poissons rouge qui gèle régulièrement dans l'hiver.J'ai installé le chauffage en coin de bassin et il ne gèle plus jamais à l'endroit ou je l'ai positionné. Les poissons se mettent dessous quand il fait très froid.bon produit.
