Works Like A Charm
This thing works great when you follow the directions exactly - and use exactly the amount of coffee it calls for. The first time we used it, we put about 4 scoops in because that's what our coffee maker at home uses (and we brew 10-12 cups at a time). The coffee was like water. When they say 9 tablespoons they mean 9 full tablespoons. You basically fill that basin up completely with coffee and pack it in there. Once you do that, the coffee was perfect.

How can a stove top percolator (9 cup) possibly "not work"?If the bottom warps as soon as any heat is applied, it not only will not come to a boil, the pot wobbles seriously on the stove top.There is almost no actual surface contact between the electric range and the bottom of the pot, since the bottom is rounded down. So no boiling, at least not with 9 cups of water, and therefore no percolating and no coffee.-----------Fixed it. Pounded the bottom concave with a rubber mallet. Now when the bottom heats up and expands, it expands up instead of down. Still not the best heat transfer, but much improved and no wobbling.

great coffee maker
Perked coffee seems to have a deeper flavor over drip coffee. This is also much more portable than most drip or pod coffee makers. Easy to use and to clean. I find the coffee even tastes good reheated. I am glad I bought this, I am using it every morning.Very Happy!

Cant go wrong with stainless
First up: MAKE SURE YOU CLEAN IT THOROUGHLY! Inside the lid lip, where it curves in, there was the expected black gunk from the manufacturing process. You DONT want that in your coffee. Big plus for having a real glass knob. Not overly pleased with the welded on pour spiggot as its very hard to get down in there to clean it. Having it pressed out of the stainless pot would have been MUCH better. With some medium grounds there is a lot that make it into the coffee and up on the basket cover. To remedy that, I purchased a big pkg of cheap paper basket filters and punch holes in 20 or 30 at a time. That way I can put them in the basket, pour my grounds in and fold the filter over on top of them. This works really well to keep the grounds in the basket where they belong and I can purchase the coffee of my choice, regardless to how its ground.

Strong coffee!
This percolator makes the best cup of coffee! The instructions make it easy to put together and very easy to use. Cleaning the pieces is also a breeze! It was a great added bonus that it came with filters so we didnt have to get any right away. We use this for weekend coffee and it's a lot stronger than what you get from a coffee pot!

Great product!!
I bought this for my hubby’s birthday cause he loves strong coffee and I have read that percolating your coffee longer can make it stronger. I am so happy it came before his birthday!! This percolator had the best reviews, so that is why I chose it. Well, he loves it, it is very durable! I only wish you made a 12 cup one as on days off he can drink coffee through out the day. If you decide to make a 12 cup percolator, we will be the first to buy it.

YUCK!
Ok. I have had this product for almost a month. I make coffee every single day. The coffeepot came with some filters, which I thought was weird because I have never had a percolating coffee pot need a filter. Well, I am deciding to return this thing...coffee pours all over the counter when you try and get a cup. Oh, and your cup of coffee??? Full of grounds. No matter if you use the filter or not. I almost chocked yesterday there were so many. I tried. I gave it a go....it isn't working.

My new favorite camping and stove top coffee maker.
I've always loved camp fire coffee , this one is very similar to my old trusty unit that wore out after many years of use. Very well made and sturdy.

After 2 weeks of use, the glass indicator on the lid cracked and broke from the heat.
The glass indicator on the lid is a poor design.
